A brief description on the idea or topic that will be developed and reason.
The reason we choose this 6 sub-topics: Foods, Festivities, Games, People, Hills, and Heritage it is because we believe that these are the most origin of our culture in our country.
First of all, let’s talk about food. In Malaysia, we can find a variety of foods ranging from the north to the south and from the east to the west Peninsular Malaysia. We also believe that this could be one of the reasons that attract a lot of tourist whether local or foreign tourist. When we talk about foods there are varieties of famous foods. For instances, the most cultural one is ‘Nasi Lemak’.
Next, the second most attractive one is our festivities. As we know, Malaysia is a multi-racial country where the 3 major dominant races that is Malays, Chinese and Indian. Of course, there are also other minor races in Malaysia. For Malays, they are celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese is celebrating Chinese New Year and Indian is celebrating Deepavali.
Furthermore, games also one of our cultural heritages where its uniqueness attracted our attention. We proudly introduce the ‘congkak’ which is the old-fashion chess played with the marbles in the olden days by the locally. Besides, ‘Wau’ is one of the giant kite that very famous being played at Terengganu state.
Next, we would like to touch about hills and mounts where we believe that the beauty of Malaysia is come from the nature itself. We have the highest mountain in Asia Kinabalu’s Mount, Penang Hills where it is situated at the north. Besides, heritages buildings that we have in the country definitely are our pride as a Malaysian. We believe have the A famosa building at Malacca, Taman Negara, Rumah Panjang (Long House) and a lot more.
Lastly, we would like to talk about the most aboriginal ethnic’s people in this country.

And below is the research that done by Birren(Birren, Faber., Color Psychology and Color Therapy. New Hyde Park, New York: University Books, Inc., 1961).
Color preferences differ by the age of the participant. Birren states in his book that blue and red maintain a high preference throughout life, but colors seem to drop down the list while other colors become more preferred. Yellow, for example, is well liked by children, but begins to drop away by people as they become adults. Birren states, “With maturity comes a greater liking for hues of shorter wave length (blue, green, purple) than for hues of longer wave length (red, orange, and yellow)” . Below is a graphical representation of the survey results for a favorite color by age group. As result, blue, green, and purple make up the majority of responses. What’s interesting is the preference of green in the younger age groups and the preference of purple in the older age groups. One could say, by looking at this graph alone, that as people become older their preference for purple increases, while their preference for green decreases. Previous academic or research publications regarding this specific anomaly were not found during this project so the ability to compare and contrast these results with other results isn’t possible at this time. M. M. Terwogy and J. B. Hoeksma did a research study on colors and emotions with regards to preferences and combinations and they noted that as people get older, their preferences are likely to change as a result of social and cultural influences. They state, “As children grow up they learn that the expression of anger is often punished. They also learn that the color black (within Western culture) is associated with mourning.” They also state that the effects of color preferences are still present at later stages of life, but these preferences are outweighed by other (as yet unidentified) factors.
